Dear Friends,
Winter Greetings from the mountains of northern New Mexico! This last year felt so full both personally and professionally. I have appreciated having a bit more time and space over the last weeks to reflect on both our Grof Legacy offerings this last year – and planning for the new year ahead.
We certainly hope that many of you can consider joining one of our in-depth residential programs in 2026. So many people describe the value of doing deep inner work in the context of a caring community. We continue to receive very positive feedback about the intimacy of our residential settings; the importance of working in smaller groups; the quality of the staff; and our strong emphasis on maintaining the integrity of both Grof’s theoretical and practical preparation for the breathwork.
On behalf of the Grof Legacy Project team we wish you well in this New Year.
Warmly,
Diane Haug
Director, Grof Legacy Project

Team Transition
In Appreciation / Kirsten Kairos
Although I knew the time would come, it is with some sadness that I announce the departure of our beloved friend and colleague, Kirsten Kairos. Kirsten has had a 20 year relationship with the Grof community through her own certification process, facilitating the breathwork in a wide variety of contexts, and most recently supporting the Grof Legacy Project with her awesome organizational and administrative skills.
Kirsten is a multi-talented being who brings warmth and creativity to everything she does. Her departure is in the spirit of actualizing even more of her skills, talents, and passion. We wish her the very best as she completes her administrative work with GLP on January 31st, 2026. That said, we are pleased to announce that she will be on the staff of the Ocamora retreat in July!
Welcome / Gianna Sutley
Immediately upon Kirsten’s departure we will be welcoming Gianna Sutley into a similar part time role with the Grof Legacy Project. Gianna is currently the Program Manager for Grof Legacy Training USA. Gianna’s administrative support of both Grof Legacy Training (an LLC) and sister organization, the Grof Legacy Project (a 501(c)3), portends to bring a new level of continuity to the Grof Legacy umbrella here in the US. We feel very appreciative of Gianna’s level of interest and commitment to the two organizations.
To learn more about Gianna’s background please see her bio on our Team page.
Grof Breathwork Facilitator Training
If you are interested in training to become a Grof® Breathwork facilitator, please check out the certification program offered by our sister organization Grof Legacy Training USA. Information about the upcoming training cohort can be found here.
Acknowledgements
The Grof Legacy Project would like to thank our many supporters over this last year. The unique nature of residential settings, and the community building it provides, is costly. But living together as an intentional learning community is often invaluable for our participants. It deepens the work and cultivates an uncommon intimacy.
In this time of greater economic insecurity for so many people, we are committed to making our work available to as many as possible. Because of the Generosity of Spirit offered by many, the Grof Legacy Project has been able to provide a limited number of partial scholarships over the last two years. We intend to keep that scholarship fund growing and are incredibly grateful to those who have contributed.
The Grof Legacy Project is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. Donations are tax deductible.
NoVo Foundation Grant
We offer a deep bow of appreciation to the NoVo Foundation. Co-founded by Peter & Jennifer Buffett, NoVo has understood our mission and its contribution to the health and well-being of others. Their support has made a significant difference in the ease with which we can offer education, training, and direct services since 2024.
