Winter 2026 Update

Dear Friends,

Winter Greetings from the mountains of northern New Mexico! This last year felt so full both personally and professionally. I have appreciated having a bit more time and space over the last weeks to reflect on both our Grof Legacy offerings this last year – and planning for the new year ahead.

Message from the Director About the MAPS 2025 Conference

Dear friends,

It is hard to believe that we are approaching the two year anniversary of our GROF® Breathwork gathering at the MAPS Psychedelic Science Conference in Denver, Colorado 2023! We considered it a great success, as well as a wonderful celebration of Stan’s life and work. Many people reported that beginning their conference experience in such a deeply personal and intimate way set the tone for the days that followed.

Registration for the MAPS 2025 Pre-Conference Workshop

This highly experiential workshop offers an introduction to the theoretical and practical work of Stanislav Grof, whose groundbreaking research into the value of non-ordinary states of consciousness, including psychedelic experiences, remains a bulwark of psychedelics studies. Following the prohibition of using psychedelics in research in the 1970s, Stan and his late wife Christina Grof developed holotropic breathwork as a means of inviting non-ordinary states of consciousness through a combination of deep breathing, evocative music, careful attention to set and setting, and individual “energy release work” where appropriate.

October 2023 Update from the Director

Dear Friends,
As the Grof Legacy Project is moving towards its last residential retreat for 2023 we are reflecting on all that we have been able to offer since our first in-person work began in May 2022 at Synergia Ranch, Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Our 4 night / 5 day residential retreats have proven to be extremely well received.
